Star Ocean - The Last Hope -

3D Vision fix for Star Ocean - The Last Hope -. It includes graphics options and an autoconvergence preset that is enabled by default.

Fixed
- The profile flag the fix uses makes the game stereoize effects that were 2D before (some bloom, depth of field...).
- But that broke some shadows shaders, so I fixed them. Tested at multiple resolutions with all shadows settings.
- HUD being too convergence dependant at 1920 and 3840 px wide resolutions.
- The HUD is now convergence dependant and layered in a way that makes it look better (check the screenshots of this post).
- Stereoized parallax occlusion mapping effect (with customizable strength). This makes textures that use the effect look like more detailed 3D geometry.
- Autoconvergence that switches between two convergence presets depending on if you are in a cutscene or gameplay.

Known issues
- There are some rare wave haloing problems in some boss battle effects or some spells. I didn't find a way to fix them.

Installation
- Download this file and extract its contents in the "STAR OCEAN - THE LAST HOPE - 4K & Full HD Remaster" folder, where "StarOceanTheLastHope.exe" is.
- Launch the game and let it overwrite the profile.

Hotkeys
F1: convergence presets. Not very useful with the autoconvergence preset that is enabled by default. If you want to disable that, open "d3dx.ini" and comment or delete the "Preset = Gameplay" line.
F2: HUD depth presets (when not in dynamic mode).
F3: HUD toggle. Not disabled by default.
F4: bloom presets, ranging from x0 to x1. Unmodified by default. Multipliers are in this order: 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.
F5:  convergence dependant and layered HUD toggle. Not enabled by default in theory, but the default autoconvergence preset enables it in gameplay all the time.
F6: depth of field toggle. Not disabled by default. The effect appears in cutscenes even if you disable the effect ingame, so that's why I made the hotkey. Keep in mind that this doesn't make what is in the area of the effect render at higher resolution than it does.
- F7: fullscreen forcing. Useful if you want to play at 4K without using DSR. The game will behave as if you were using downsampling, but overlays like RTSS will you your desktop resolution.
- 1 (not the numpad): parallax occlusion mapping stereoization strength. It's used by default with my x1 multiplier. Multipliers are in this order: 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3.
