3D Vision fix for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.
Fixed
- Shadows.
- Lighting.
- Volumetric lighting.
- Light shafts.
- The sun.
- Footsteps.
- Water.
- Screen space reflections.
- A lot of haloing problems.
- Realistic depth for specular reflections except for characters, which didn't look good.
- Dynamic cursor.
- Motion blur is useable, but not recommended. It isn't perfect and it increases GPU usage too much for my taste.
Known issues
- There are some very small imperfections in water reflections (not screen space reflections).
- Although correct in 3D, some adjustments I did to characters lighting also affect them in 2D. You will notice it a bit if you compare them in screenshots, but it shouldn't be worrying.
Installation
- Download this file and extract its contents in the "Ni no Kuni II Revenant Kingdom" folder, where "Nino2.exe" is.
- Launch the game and let it overwrite the profile.
Hotkeys
- F1: convergence presets (0, 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4). 2.5 by default. This fix doesn't include a dynamic convergence feature, so you need to change it manually for cutscenes if you think the default convergence is too high.
- F2: HUD depth presets for screen depth elements (damage, lock on, and enemy names already have real depth). The mouse cursor is always at dynamic depth when the situation makes sense for it.
- F4: cel shading toggle. Just for fun.
- F5: screen space reflections ground distance multiplier (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 0). x1 by default. It increases how much geometry is reflected in some situations. It doesn't have a performance penalty.
- F6: specular reflections at surface depth toggle. In case you want to see how they looked by default instead of the realistic way. I recommend not touching this hotkey.
